Grade One, Book One

Unit One     Hello! I’m Andy.

²        Analysis of the teaching contents:

This is the 5th period of Unit One. The students have learnt to introduce themselves with the sentence patterns “Hello / Hi I’m…. “ or “Hello / Hi. My name is …”. And many of them have been already got used to follow the procedures of having a formal class step by step. Such as “Stand up.”, ”Sit down!”, “Good morning / …”, etc.

In this class, the important points are to reinforce the way to introduce oneself with the sentence patterns “Hello / Hi I’m…. “ or “Hello / Hi. My name is …”, understand how to use the sentence structure in the proper situation; to reinforce the normal classroom procedure. Hopefully the students are interested to learn and do the activities successfully. And they can act out the story by the end of this class. It’s a bit hard for the pupils who had just learnt English to act out the story. But it will be fun for them to recognize the new friends in the class and the memory game sets up a clear purpose for them to learn.

 

 

²        Objectives:

1.    To understand and say the names of the new characters in the book correctly;

2.   To match the pictures and the names of the new characters;

3.      To use the sentence structure “Hello / Hi I’m…. “ or “Hello / Hi. My name is …” and make    greetings, and to reinforce the good manners of meeting people.

4.   To understand and follow the story, some of them can act out the story in class;

5.   To develop memorizing and recalling skills;

6.   To enjoy the games and activities, and build up their appreciation of English.

反思:

低年段的老师都觉得调控课堂是个大难点,所以在这节课上,当我发现孩子们想说的时候,就让他们说,不过只是让他们不说其他的话,就说要学的那些话,让他们说个够;他们想动的时候就让他们动,不过是换种法,想办法让他们按照我的意图去,动得有意义。低年级的教学与高年级的要求完全不同。它可以有高年级内容的些许渗透,但却不可照搬那一套,绝对不可忽略对儿童学习的兴趣的培养,我们一定要在课堂上想尽办法吸引他们的注意力和兴趣,让他们学得开心,学得轻松,学得主动。
